In Sun City Carolina Lakes, we have volunteers who dedicate themselves selflessly - whether it be through collecting donations for holiday times, making shawls for individuals suffering life threatening illness, food donations to the hungry, duffle bags for children, school supplies for children who otherwise may not have a pencil or for your neighbor who may be sick or just need a shoulder to lean on. WSOC-TV and Family Focus Partners asked for nominations for their 28th year program called “The Nine Who Care Awards”. This year, SCCL Volunteers were nominated and nine winners were selected from the list of finalists! The Sun City Carolina Lakes Volunteer Groups were nominated this year by Barbara Carter and the award was accepted by resident, Sondi Funderburg. Congratulations!
