September and October were two very good months for” resales”. In October, nine (9) “resales” sold (contracts written in Sept.) and eight (8) homes went under contract. There are currently 42 resale homes on the market. Is this a good time to list your home? Statistically, this may be a good time to list. However, the Holiday Season is usually a slower market. Technology to brighten your home! When we can’t take advantage of natural sunlight to brighten our homes, let’s use technology! Connecting lamps to automatic timers is an excellent way to brighten your home and save money. These inexpensive timers can be purchased at Lowes for $5 – $10. This is an excellent idea for anyone listing their home. We use them now to make our home look welcoming when we arrive home from work!

Make your home feel warm! During the colder season is the best time to make your house feel “homey”. This may not even be a word, but you all know what we mean. Have the cinnamon potpourri, fireplace, soft music and the accent lighting working for you. These suggestions are more important now than any other season.

This is down approximately 7.8% (13.6 mos.) from the same period last year!

Sun City – Approx. 10 Months of Inventory!
The last 3 months in Sun City (July, August, Sept.) we are averaging four (4) resales a month. With an average of 40 single-family homes on the market the last three months, you can calculate that Sun City has approximately a 10-month inventory of single-family homes.

October – Lowest Inventory in Months!
Good News! Based on the “resales” currently under contract, we expect the single-family home inventory in Sun City Carolina Lakes to be the lowest it has been in several months. We are anticipating October to be a good month for sellers.
