Alert! Heads Up! Watch out for hotel credit card scammers. You check in normally. About 10pm or so, you receive a call from the front desk, “there’s been a computer glitch, we need to run your cards again. We’re so sorry for the inconvenience. You can give us your number over the phone or come down to the front desk.” If you elect to go the front desk, you are told there is a 30 minute wait. Ok, you reply, I’ll stop by in an hour or tomorrow morning. You hear the phone click and you are talking to dial tone. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO THE “FRONT DESK.” Yes, this is real. It has happened to your SCCL neighbors!!!!
