Real Estate Update Nov 2012
Happy Thanksgiving!
We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a festive month! Our son will celebrate Thanksgiving with us, but our daughter, who is still working in London, won’t make it. She will be joining us next month to celebrate Christmas. As we are writing this article, she is headed to NYC to run the marathon in honor of a dear friend, Casey, who has fought a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. We are so proud of Cameron’s effort to raise over $3,200 to donate to this cause. Many of you will have heavy hearts this Holiday Season for various reasons! We wish better times ahead for you!
October was a good month! It was HOT!
Activity for October! Six (6) homes closed in October, and six (6) new ones went under contract. WOW!! Inventory is the lowest! There are currently 19 resales (3-villas, 16-homes) on the market. This is the lowest inventory in years. This may be an excellent time to discuss listing your home if you are considering a move. Villa Lots! We are looking forward to the opening of additional villa lots near the golf clubhouse in January. They will have mostly Muirfield units and some Kenwood models available. It is our understanding that they will not build the Lakeshore models. Turkey Point! Pulte is working hard to complete the bridge leading into Turkey Point! They are projecting a mid- to late- December completion. You can already see from a distance that several summit lots are being cleared. They should be available when we can gain access via the new bridge.
The Power of RE/MAX!
We are affiliated with RE/MAX, the #1 Real Estate Company in the country and abroad! Our regional office, RE/MAX Executive Realty, earned the # 1 RE/MAX in the Carolinas again in 2012. We have 9 offices with over 200 agents working as a team to help us market homes. We made the decision in 2004 to leave another real estate firm to join RE/MAX Executive because we felt RE/MAX Executive provided the marketing power that we didn’t have with our previous company. We haven’t looked back!
The Power of the Real Estate Store!
We are proud our team was in the top 10 teams in NC/SC for the first six months of 2012, and we continue to grow. We are excited to introduce, Casey Ballard and Terri Albertson, as our newest agents to join our team of Indian Land real estate specialists.
Casey has 15 years in the real estate business in Lancaster. For the past two years, he was on corporate staff for a large Charlotte real estate firm. Casey was born and raised in Lancaster, and his knowledge of the area is invaluable when he talks with prospective buyers about moving here. Terri is also a local resident of Indian Land. She works behind the scenes to ensure that closings run smoothly, and that listings are marketed “to the max.” Her knowledge of the real estate business is a real asset.
We now have two offices to better serve our buyers and sellers.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Brian & Sharon
