Plane, Train or Automobile?
With todays gas prices, is it less expensive to fly instead of filling up your car with what could be over $4 per gallon in some areas? Just like motorists, airlines have been hit hard with increasing fuel prices — and they’re passing on the costs to you. As always, with a little research, you could probably find some pretty good deals. But, according to the Car Care Council: Even if gas prices hit $5 a gallon, the traditional family summer vacation by vehicle costs less, is more convenient and not as stressful as flying. A family of four traveling by car costs the same as one person traveling by air. So the answer is: It depends! How do you value a dollar, convenience and comfort?
