Stone Theatres and MPV (Merrifield Patrick Vermillion) Properties announced Thursday, March 12, that Stone will build a 14-screen multiplex at RedStone, a 40-acre retail development at the intersection of Charlotte Highway (U.S. 521) and Fort Mill Highway (S.C. 160). The 53,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art cinema will be the largest movie facility in Lancaster County, able to seat more than 2,800 movie-goers at the same time.

Construction is expected to start soon, with an anticipated opening in late fall 2016. Site work is slated to start immediately.
